Portsmouth Unveils Micro Logistics Hub, Pioneering Sustainable Urban Delivery with Decarbon Logistics

Portsmouth has launched its first Micro Logistics Hub, marking a major step forward in sustainable urban delivery. Developed by Decarbon Logistics Solutions in partnership with Portsmouth City Council and Delivery Mates, the hub consolidates deliveries at a central location before parcels are distributed by electric cargo bikes. This innovative approach has the potential to reduce congestion and air pollution, speed up delivery times, and lower costs for businesses, while enhancing quality of life for residents. The project, funded by the Solent Future Transport Zone, is being closely monitored to guide future urban logistics improvements.
